6 Week 3D Ultrasound FAQ's

Yes, we schedule our 6 week 3D Ultrasound but occasionally can accommodate same day appointments.  Just call us at 888-338-8669 to see if we can fit you in if you want a same day appointment

We accept cash, Tummy Vision Gift Cards and debit and credit cards. If paying by credit or debit card, for your protection, we do ask for a valid photo ID matching the credit or debit card used. If someone else is paying for your appointment by credit or debit card we would ask only that person for their ID. You can use the same card you placed on file but we will need the actual card (and ID) to charge the card at our ultrasound studio.

At your 6 week 3D Ultrasound you can often see a heartbeat, find out whether you may be having twins or multiples, locate whether the embryo is high or low in the uterous, and potentially see the small nutritional sac, known as the “yolk sac”.  You will see a very lifelike image of your baby!

There are some beliefs that this special category, “the 6 weeks 1 day Ultrasound”, is special because one can see the spinal cord clearly curving as it develops and that the muscular system is clearer.  This can be viewed as a little bit of an “urban legend”, as a single day here or there doesn’t make a clear, obvious difference than the day before or day after.  But we aim to please, and can make an appointment online  for a 6 weeks 1 day as you wish!

13 Week 3D Ultrasound FAQ's

At the 13 week 3D Ultrasound stage of development, your baby will be large enough for you and the sonographer to see a lot of useful detail that wasn’t able to be seen before.  You can get an estimated due date, find out whether you have twins (or multiples) and get great insight into any potential issues related to certain specific genetic disorders.  You can hear your baby’s heartbeat and really see tons of visual details.
Sound waves will move better and create better images of your baby if you have a full bladder.  If you empty your bladder a few hours before, and then drink 2-3 glasses of water an hour before your ultrasound, you will be all set for the best images possible.
No radiation is used and there are decades of data showing there will be no harm to you or your baby using soundwave ultrasound technology for a 13 week 3D Ultrasound.
